How the Bookkeeping service Works!

 

We Begin By Setting up your Books: 

A BPM accounting professional will set-up your business in our customized accounting system. This set-up process involved creating a customized chart of accounts that are specific to your business and your industry.

This business expense category accounts customization, will hell bring more meaning to the business information and the financial reports we will be providing on a quarterly basis.

Business information is sent to us as original source documents using our monthly envelope system, our forms system or our on-line system.

The BPM service is designed to work the way you work:

Our goal is to minimize the time you spent each month in gathering and sending the business activity documents to us. 

As a result, we offer you a choice of methods by which to send information to us for processing. Clicking the above link and selecting the one best suited for you and your business.

The Bookkeeping Process

Once the bookkeeping source information is received, our trained staff log the receive date into our client account management system and proceed to sort the information into the applicable chart-of-accounts, creating batches of accounts. 

These batches are totaled, the totals are written on the batch header as well as the batches of chart-of-account number making the batches ready for data entry.

Next, the data entry ready batches are entered by chart-of-account into our specially designed Canadian small business bookkeeping system.

After data entry, the bookkeeping staff prepares a data verification audit worksheet. This is used to cross audit the chart-of-account totals entered, the number of transactions entered and the totals.

After the audit, the agreed financial reports and/or data output is sent to the accountant or firm with any applicable comments or observation relevant to our engagement agreement.

For a small business client, the agreed reports will be sent by email.

We provide you with a set of financial reports each month via email designed to simplify the monthly bookkeeping process and give more meaning to the monthly bookkeeping information.

This in most client relationship may be done by the accountant, CA/CPA. However if the year-end work is part of our SLA, we would provide the following:

Personal Tax Return for Owner and Spouse

In addition, we are available for weekend telephone meetings as required. This way, you never have to take time out during the Monday- to- Friday work week to call and talk to us. Instead you can schedule your telephone meetings with us for a Saturday or Sunday.
